In the earlier printings of the 1Os. the paper was dampened before
printing and the subsequent shrinkage produced narrow frames 23½
to 23½ mm wide. Later printings were made on dry paper producing
wide frames 24¼. mm wide.
No. 163a is one of the earlier printings, line perf 13.8 x 14.1. Later
printings of the 1Os . are line perf 14.1.
Nos. 163b/c show a blurred centre caused by the use of a worn
plate.
Nos. 163a and 163b may be found with gum more or less yellow
due to local climatic conditions.
